We have done our homework on how elementary and middle schoolers learn best and planned our classes to keep them interested, challenged and focused.

The day begins at 8:15am and ends at 2:00pm for elementary schoolers and middle schoolers will start their day at 8:15am and end at 2.45pm. IGCSE schoolers will begin their day at 8:15am and ends at 3:30pm/4:15pm.

On Fridays, you will participate in athletics or other co-curricular activities. You can also take advantage of “Extra Help” sessions with teachers, or work on projects with classmates, as well as take up a foreign language lesson.

Stellar’s Programme is designed to engage learners in an active and creative learning journey. A clear curriculum framework is used for each subject – English as a first language, Mathematics and Science – providing a clear teaching structure, along with an integrated assessments to monitor learners’ progress.

ENGLISH as a first language

English enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment. Learners who follow this framework will develop a first language competency in English based on a curriculum designed to be successful in any culture and to promote cross-cultural understanding.

MATHEMATICS

The mathematics curriculum framework explores five content areas: number, geometry, measure, handling data and problem solving. This curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships so that learners can apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

SCIENCE

The key content areas covered are: scientific enquiry, biology, chemistry and physics. Scientific enquiry is considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning, investigating, recording and analysing data. Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum.
